“Do stuff. Be clenched, curious.
Not waiting for inspiration’s shove or society’s kiss on the head.”

Susan Sontag

Mary Loudon

“She writes like the great Raymond Carver; she can get to the heart of human experience with a word or a line.  It’s completely mind-blowing how she does it.”
Fergal Keane

“What a lucid, subtle and beautiful writer she is, with a gift for slicing through to the complexities of a relationship or a situation. Reading anything by Mary Loudon is to peer through the bell jar to the truths captured inside it.”
Elizabeth Buchan
